4 Days 3 Nights Nature of Kuching (Code 3)
Day 1 City Tour + Mangrove Cruise
Upon arrival meet our friendly guide at Kuching International Airport then proceed for Kuching City Tour before checking into the hotel.
Kuching City Tour
This is a comprehensive tour where you can see all the places of
attraction around this historical city.
The tour begins with a drive to see South City Hall and a visit to the photos
gallery about the historical and modern city of Kuching, the gigantic Cat
Status (mascot of the city)at Padungan before cruising through Chinatown and a
stop at the Sarawak Museum, which is acknowledged as one of the finest in the
world. The route passes through the
Syariah (muslim) Court, Satok Market and traditional Malay houses built on
stilts, passing through the magnificent looking Mosque built along the river
bank. A brief stop at the waterfront and
have a good view of the Clock Tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of
Rajah Charles Brooke. Across the river,
is a good view of the majestic Astana (1870) – former palace of White Rajahs
and the imposing State Assemble Building, at the Waterfront and Main Bazaar.
Lunch, then transfer back to hotel for check in.
Mangrove Cruise / Wetland
National Park
4.30 pm Pick up from your hotel and enjoy the
scenic 45 minute drive towards Damai Peninsular for a Mangrove Wildlife Cruise
at the Kuching Wetlands National Park.
We explore the river estuaries at the Park. The mangrove shoreline
offers sightings of many exciting wildlife including proboscis monkeys, long
tailed macaque monkeys, silver-leaf monkeys and monitor lizards. A range of
bird life, including kingfishers, white-bellied sea eagles and other shore
birds can also be found there. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse
of the illusive Irrawaddy Dolphins as they frolic around the estuaries in the
morning hours or near sunset. Please note that these animals are wild and
therefore, there is no guarantee that visitors will see them. Transfer back to
your hotel after the tour.
The evening cruise may get chilly, so
do wear suitable clothing.
Day 2 - Day Trip Bako National Park + Typical Malay Fishing Village (L)
8.30 am Meet at the hotel lobby, and depart for Bako National Park. The oldest park in Sarawak and it is about 27
square kilometer sanctuary. The Bako
National Park tour will take you on a trip to explore this recreational located
and its flora and fauna, including the carnivorous pitcher plant and the
proboscis monkey, silver-leaf monkey, long tail macaque, green viper snake,
wild boar and etc. Bako has 17 trails
ranging from short Lintang trail to laborious Telok Limau trails, winding your
way through the park to indented sandy bays which are good for swimming locations. Lunch at the park before returning to Bako
Village jetty.
Then proceed to Malay Fishing Village and stop for refreshment at one of the stall and learn about the life style of their way of living as a fisherman with their authentic boat going out to the sea before returning back to Kuching City hotel.
Day 3 - Sarawak Cultural Village + Semenggoh Orang Utan Centre (L)
8.45 am meet at the hotel lobby and then proceed to Sarawak Cultural Village.
Sarawak Cultural Village is popularly known as the “Living Museum” the village is a showcase of
kaleidoscope of Sarawak’s cultures and traditions. Explore the 7 authentic replicas of ethnic
houses. Chinese Farm House, Malay’s
Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Penan Hut as well as the Longhouses of the
Iban, Bidayuh and Orang Ulu. Displayed
in each houses are the many artifacts made by the individual dwellers. There is also 45 minutes of traditional
performance of the various ethnic tribes of dances of Sarawak at the village theater.
Lunch at Damai Central Restaurant.
Cat Museum
After lunch proceed to Cat Museum the only one and unique museum in the world. Inside there are all types of cats statues, poster, carving and lot more that you can imagine of …… and some Kuching history also on display.

It is the only one of its kind in Sarawak. These orang utan spend most of the time foraging for food in the shelter of trees, some come out of hiding during the park regular feeding times, creating your best chance to catch a glimpse. From here you will have the opportunity to observe these primates and their behavior, emotions and interactions. Then to the Sarawak Pottery Factory and the local souvenirs shop for shopping before returning to hotel.
Day 4 - Transfer to Kuching International Airport
Free and easy till time to be transfer to Kuching International Airport for departure.
