5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS KUCHING TOURS  (Code 4)

DAY 1                 TRANSFER IN + CITY TOUR + SUNSET CRUISE                         

    

Upon arrival at Kuching International Airport, meet our friendly guide and then to be transfer to Kuching City hotel for check in.

2.00 pm.  Meet our friendly and informative guide at the hotel lobby.  Then continues for Kuching City Tour.

This is a comprehensive tour where you can see all the places of attraction around this historical city.  The tour begins with a drive to see South City Hall and a visit to the photos gallery about the historical and modern city of Kuching, the gigantic Cat Status (mascot of the city) at Padungan before cruising through Chinatown and a stop at the oldest Chinese Temple (Tua Pek Kong Temple), then visit to the Chinese History Museum to know more about the Chinese in Sarawak.  Then continue to Sarawak Museum, which is acknowledged as one of the finest in the South East Asia.  It is a treasure house of artifacts and exhibits which possess great archaeological and cultural significance.  Then the route continue passes through the Syariah (muslim) Court, Satok Market before continue down to the traditional Malay houses built on stilts, passing through the magnificent looking Mosque built along the river bank continue passing through the old town to waterfront / main bazaar - look out for the old Colonial Law Court –Across the river, is a good view of the majestic Astana (1870) – former palace of White Rajahs and the imposing State Assemble Building.

5.15 pm.  Sarawak River Cruise. (90 minutes). The sunset river cruise on the Sarawak River. This is a wonderful way of observing Kuching City from a different angle and will give you a feel of how transportation to and from the city was in the olden days before the introduction of modern road vehicles. On most days you will be able to enjoy a scenic sunset from the deck of the cruise ship.  On board you will be entertain with our local cultural performance and you can take photo with the dancers and refreshment are provided. 

7.00 pm  Transfer to dinner before re-treat back to hotel for overnight.

DAY 2       SEMENGGOH ORANG UTAN CENTRE + KAYAKING     (L)

  

 8.00am.   Meet at the lobby, transfer to Semenggoh Orang Utan Centre.  It is the only one of its kind in Sarawak.  These orang utan spend most of the time foraging for food in the shelter of trees, some come out of hiding during the park regular feeding times, creating your best chance to catch a glimpse.  From here you will have the opportunity to observe these primates and their behavior, emotions and interactions.

Then the journey continues to Kayaking. 

Kayaking Adventure is the authentic water sport activity that will bring you closer to the nature and gives you an amazing experience to enjoy the beautiful sceneries at Sarawak Borneo rainforest along Sarawak river in Kuching Sarawak.  From there get into the kayak and start paddling through Semadang River going down to Mini Waterfall then continue to Danu Village for picnic lunch.  After lunch continue paddling down the river to the mini cave and also passing through the Keyu Rapids.  River fish feeding at the Tanjung Baru. (Depending on weather and river condition).

Then transfer back to hotel.

                             

DAY 3               ORCHID GARDEN + CAT MUSEUM + SARAWAKCULTURAL VILLAGE + MANGROVE CRUISE                                                         (B/L/D)

                      

9.00am.  Pick up from hotel and proceed to visit Orchid Garden.  The proceed to visit the Dun building, Sarawak Legislative Office.  Viewing from outside the building and photo taking at the compound and admire the great design of the building of Sarawak.  Before proceed to Cat Musuem, the only and unique Cat Museum.

Cats Museum is a much more interesting museum. This is said to be the World’s first Cat Museum and it contains more than 2,000 cat artefacts and memorabilia from all over the world.  The Cat Museum itself holds many interesting history about cats. There are even real stuffed cats here and you’ll be meeting famous cats such as Garfield, Felix, Hello Kitty and many more. And also part of the Sarawak History in the museum.

Then proceed to Damai.

Lunch at Damai.

2.30 pm.  Visit to Sarawak Cultural Village

Sarawak Cultural Village is also known as a Living museum, the village. Upon arrival you will explore the 7 authentic replicas of ethnic houses.  Chinese Farm House, Malay’s Stilted House, Melanau Tall House, Sago processing Hut, Penan Hut as well as the Iban Longhouse, Bidayuh Longhouse and also the Orang Ulu Longhouse.  Displayed in each of the houses are the many artifacts made by the individual dwellers.  You will also be entertained by the traditional dances by the various ethnic tribes of Sarawak at the village theatre. (4.00pm in the afternoon)

After the show (which finish at 4.45pm), then proceed to Mangrove Cruise.

Mangrove Wildlife Cruise at the Kuching Wetlands National Park We explores the river estuaries at the Park. The mangrove shoreline offers sightings of many exciting wildlife including proboscis monkeys, long tailed macaque monkeys, silver-leaf monkeys and monitor lizards. A range of bird life, including kingfishers, white-bellied sea eagles and other shore birds can also be found there. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the illusive Irrawaddy Dolphins as they frolic around the estuaries in the morning hours or near sunset. Please note that these animals are wild and therefore, there is no guarantee that visitors will see them.

Then transfer to dinner before proceed back to hotel.

DAY 4   BAKO NATIONAL PARK + MALAY FISHING VILLAGE        (B/L)

                   

8.30 am Meet at the hotel lobby, and depart for Bako National Park.  The oldest park in Sarawak and it is about 27 square kilometer sanctuary.  The Bako National Park tour will take you on a trip to explore this recreational located and its flora and fauna, including the carnivorous pitcher plant and the proboscis monkey, silver-leaf monkey, long tail macaque, green viper snake, wild boar and etc.  Bako has 17 trails ranging from short Lintang trail to laborious Telok Limau trails, winding your way through the park to indented sandy bays which are good for swimming locations. Lunch at the HQ canteen.

On the way back from Bako National Park, proceed to the Authentic Malay Fishing Village. Tour the village and learn how the local daily lifestyle in the village. Then  stop at one of the local stall for refreshment, before transferring back to the hotel.

DAY 5           TRANSFERS TO AIRPORT

Free and east till time to be transfer to Airport for departure.
